| It has definitely been a long time since I've last written in here. I'll be pleasantly surprised if someone from back in the day reads this since I don't think anyone that I know who used to use Xanga still does. But whatever. . .
The last time I entered anything here was almost 3 years ago when I got back from Honduras. So much but not so much has happened since then.
- Finished pre-reqs at La Sierra
- Got into nursing school at LLU
- My brother got married
- Two friends gave birth, one a year ago & the other a month ago
- I passed boards
- Spent spring break in Carlsbad & LA (for Fiesta Lakers)
- Went camping on Santa Cruz Island
- My cousin got engaged & is slated to get married in 3 wks in OR (roadtrip!)
- Helped raise a new puppy
- Went to a memorial for a friend's daughter who passed away
- Made new friends
- Went to Botswana & South Africa for a month as part of my Public Health nursing class
- I lost half my eyebrow after eating it hard from a wipe out
- Been to a couple of Switchfoot concerts
But anyway, the purpose of this entry was to answer the following just so I can see the differences from back in 2003. This is a copy of an entry dated back to Jan. 15, 2004. It's more of a New Year's reflection thing, but whatever.
1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?: Petted a cheetah
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?: I don't think I had one this year
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?: Cynthia
4. Did anyone close to you die?: I wasn't close, but a high school classmate passed away
5. What countries did you visit?: Botswana & South Africa
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?: A job? 7. What date(s) from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?: June 20-July 21 when we went to Africa. Amazing experience.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?: Passing boards
9. What was your biggest failure?: Not sure . . .
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?: Normal cough and cold
11. What was the best thing you bought?: A chance to pet a cheetah
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?: My friends who passed boards
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?: The mantis, but she didn't make me depressed
14. Where did most of your money go?: Eating out
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?: Traveling halfway around the world to Africa & petting the cheetah
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?: Honestly, I don't know
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: Wiser?: Well, I know more things than before, so yeah, I guess. Healthier?: I'd say the same. Richer?: The same cause I'm still not working
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?: Spent more time with friends
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?: Sleeping late
20. How did you spend Christmas?: Honestly, I don't remember. At Auntie's house, but only cause I looked at pictures to remind me.

22. How many one-night stands?: No
23. What was your favorite TV program?: ER until it ended
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?: Nope
25. What was the best book you read?: Still in the process of reading And If I Perish: Frontline U.S. Army Nurses in World War II

28. What did you want and not get?: the D-SLR that I really wanted
29. What was your favorite film of this year?: Honestly, I didn't watch that many this year, so I can't answer that

| I know it's been forever since I've posted anything here. I start schoo this coming Sunday. It hasn't hit me, but maybe I'm in some kind of shock since it's been over a year and half since I graduated and a long time since I've really had to study. A photography degree is more projects than books. I hope I'm ready for hitting the books once again. | | |
| So I'm back now . . . but I still have that urge to travel. I love going to travel stores (especially if they have a big book collection) . . . but then it makes me want to buy things and just travel. There's so much to see and do. It's killing me. | | |
| My sister is coming this Saturday to visit me. I´m excited, but that also means that the time to leave here is coming up. I´ll be sad to leave the friends that I´ve made. I think that´s going to be the hardest thing. We´ve been having some tension between us, but I put the blame on PMS, numbers, final grade making, and the end of the year stress. We´ll see how this weekend goes. | | |
| It´s sad when you look back and you see what´s changed from the old days. No day like the old days. That´s the scary thing about going home after being away for 10 months is seeing all the change and everything you´ve missed out on. | | |
